Adapted DLS

The link on this page takes you to an adapted DLS Teaching Manual used in a project on preschool language interventions organised by Professor Cristina McKean of the University of Newcastle. More details of the Project can be found on the University of Newcastle’s website. University of Newcastle

You should be aware that the teaching activities in the manual were designed for the project to contrast with the other language intervention approach studied.

There is a comprehension phase in all the DLS activities.

This is not essential and where the child’s expression is the main concern; the activity would be adapted so the child used the construction themselves throughout the activity.

A copy of the Adapted User Manual can be found on this link.
