The Rapid Screening Test takes about five minutes to administer and provides a rough idea of the child's level of comprehension.

It is used to select subjects from the Detailed Test of Comprehension, which goes into more depth as well as attempting to elicit a sample of expression.

The User needs to collect some everyday objects and toys to carry out this test. These are not sold as part of the Scheme. Some action pictures are used which are available for sale.
